Our Process

PREPARATION – All surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned down by high pressure equipment. During this stage all dirt, mould, algae and loose paint will be removed. A Bio-chemical solution will also be applied to remove excess mould and algae. Preparation is of paramount importance and will no doubt determine the success or failure of any project. We take great care and attention to ensure that all substrates are stringently cleaned down and made ready for the next stages of application.

Masked & repaired

MASKING UP – The very first process is the protection of all doors, windows, paths and surrounding area by masking up with tape, heavy duty paper, polythene and dust sheets. Great care is taken to protect driveways and adjoining properties.

RESTORATION AND REPAIR WORK – This stage is to professionally repair any worn or damaged render and cracks, reinstating to match the appropriate surface profile. Polymer modified cements are used for repairs to ensure the perfect bond. Great care is taken to achieve invisible repairs.

Previous unpainted properties we will apply a bonded resin cement slurry, (for pebbledash & brick surfaces) to lose the imperfections whilst retaining all architectural features. Any other textured rendered finish can also receive this treatment if the surface type is heavily scarred. This reduces the likely hood of imperfections and helps to achieve a very favourable result on even the most uneven of surfaces.

PRIMER – During this stage we apply Andura XL70-a high penetration primer with built-in curing agents. Designed to penetrate the surface for excellent adhesion and weatherproofing. Primer has been formulated to be applied to both, dry or damp surfaces with up to 50% penetrating into the substrate and 50% forming a protective surface coating. The Primer coat also stabilises the substrate and forms the perfect key for the Andura Classic 21 top coat bonds with the Primer coat to form a bond of incredible strength.

APPLICATION - Using specialist spray equipment, Andura Classic 21 is applied up to 20 times thicker than regular masonry paint. A minimum of 1 ½ kilos is applied to every square metre, thus ensuring a perfect uniform finish.

Great care is taken to unmask all windows, doors and any other areas that have been precision masked prior to application. General housekeeping then takes place to ensure that the project site is left clean and tidy.
